Organised by the German Book Office New Delhi, which is the South Asia node of the Frankfurt Book Fair, JUMPSTART was founded with the objective of building an exchange platform for the creative community and facilitate capacity development in the children’s content space. Since its inception JUMPSTART has completed 10 Editions with over 181 Speakers from 13 countries and over 20 industries, and has conducted 30 Masterclasses on various topics, establishing itself as the space for creative ideation and collaboration
The German Book office of the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the world’s largest and most important trade fair for publishing, is pleased to present a brand new show capturing the trends in the creative industries. This podcast series features leaders making an impact in the creative sector. We talk about what it takes for creative entrepreneurs to succeed, especially in tough business conditions; we speak to them about how the industry has evolved and their own journey. We seek out life and business lessons for start-ups & entrepreneurs.
GBO New Delhi’s Translation Programme, apart from promoting German literature in the region, also aims to support the community of German literary translators by engaging in capacity building for translators. GBO’s Programme has brought mentors and young translators together in an interactive set-up in order to provide a training platform to the translators, which otherwise is a solitary exercise. In partnership with Lectory, a unique e-classroom platform, which will enable this edition to be conducted as an e-classroom training Programme. Participants can join from any part of the world — all you need is a device with a good internet connection.
The PTPYP is a course initiated, designed and accredited by the German Book Office New Delhi and the Frankfurt Book Fair 2014. While the GBO has in the past co-organized the Publishers Training Programme at IIM –A and continues to organize GLOBALOCAL [an annual exclusive B2B networking conclave for the publishing & allied industry], the Frankfurt Book Fair is known for leading the publishing industry worldwide with its training and development initiatives conducted variously.
